Gordon Engdahl 1949
Gordon and Kay Engdahl, 1956Gordon was the youngest of the Engdahls . I believe he finished grade 10 and as soon as he got his drivers license went to work driving truck and building roads as a heavy equipment operator. Kay grew up in Thunder Bay and became a teacher. She was teaching school in Dorion Ontario when they met and they got married in the mid 50's. They lived in a mobile home in many places depending on where Gordon was working. They eventually bought the Cederlund farm in Eagle. Kay taught school in Eagle between 1961-1969 and Gordon bought a wood truck and hauled pulp wood for awhile. They moved to BC in 1969 and Gordon again worked with road building equipment and at the Operating Engineers Union training centre in Maple Ridge before he retired due to poor health. He died of CANCER IN 1985 AT THE AGE OF 51.Gordon played guitar and bought and restored vintage cars. They have two daughters, Janice Turner and Judy Corsie and six grandchildren.
